Tri-County Region
Our Tri-County Region Offers More
When you’re considering the Manhattan area for your business, prepare to get more than you ever expected from our “Tri-County” Region.

The City of Manhattan resides in two counties, Riley and Pottawatomie, so our two counties are natural partners. Our third partner is our neighbor to the west, Junction City/Geary County.

Riley, Geary, Pottawatomie, a great team! We believe you will find the resources in the Tri-County Region of tremendous value for your business.

Plus, we’re part of the Kansas I-70 Talent Corridor. To find out how we can help you with your business needs, contact us today.

Consider This
  • Population of the Tri-County Region is around 109,000
  • Nearly 40,000 households
  • More than 200,000 in the retail market area
  • 30,174 in the “available labor pool” according to the 2002 labor study

Major Employers
Our region is home to two major employers, K-State and Fort Riley, who, in addition to being tremendous employers, also provide valuable business and human resources to many employers in our region.

Small Business Development Center
The Tri-County Region shares the same Small Business Development Center which provides business services to those who are considering starting a business of their own. Seminars and business counseling services are conveniently available in Junction City, Manhattan or Wamego to serve the needs of the “will-be” entrepreneurs in our area.
