National Bio- and Agro-defense Facility

Construction for the $1.25 billion NBAF facility on the Kansas State University campus is scheduled for completion in 2020, with full operational capability by 2022. The state-of-the art, bio-containment facility will develop strategic partnerships between Homeland Security, state of Kansas, city of Manhattan and private entities. NBAF is proximate to the Biosecurity Research Institute (BRI), a world-class research/education facility with state-of-the-art research space and additional proximity to K-State's School of Veterinary Medicine and College of Agriculture.
